Smile Envy

Why do we have to smile? Why must we selfie at every race and every event?

Anytime you scroll through social media, you will always see at least one person who has posted that perfect selfie with the perfect smile.

And that's not me. That's never me! I am the most un photogenic runner out there. The faces I make in race pictures are horrific. When I try to take a selfie, it will take at least 10 tries for a half decent shot.

And it's not that I'm not having fun. I thoroughly enjoy myself (at least most of the time) at my races and workouts.

Yes, I admit I do get jealous. Yes, I wish I had the perfect smile and it came naturally.  But don't get offended when you wanna take a picture and I cringe. I just don't want to ruin your picture with my un photogenicness.
